Kristin Newton and Reid Newton were married June 2, 2018 in a 6:30 evening ceremony at The Red Barn with Alan Jaynes officiating. The reception followed at The Red Barn.

The bride is the daughter of Tim and Carole Newton of Rogersville. She is the grand- daughter of the late Cecil Newton, the late Sue Newton, and Don Newbern and the late Judy Newbern.

The groom is the son of Steve and Lynn Newton of Rogersville. He is the grandson of Donnie and Merle Newton of Rogersville and James and Crystell Prestwood of Andalusia. The bride chosea white dress and veil designed by White One Bridal from St. Patrick of Pronovias purchased from Madison Town and Country Bridal, along with jewelry from Belk Fine Jewelry Co. She also wore her late grandmother’s (Judy Newbern) engagement ring on her right hand, and her late grandmother’s (Sue Newton) blue birthstone ring tied to her bouquet.

Matron of honor was Taylor Harbin, best friend of the bride. Bridesmaids were Allison Sartain, Kayla Collier, and Blaire Solley, all friends of the bride. Flower girls were Mattie Newton and Elsie Self.

Best man was Cole Harbin, best friend of the groom. Groomsmen were Jake Newton, brother of the bride; Ryan Barclay and Titus Legg, friends of the groom.

Wedding director was Lindsay Dabbs, along with help from Anna Nunley and Erika Springer. Floral designer was Pam Word. Music for the ceremony and the reception was provided by Garret Bowling. Caterer was Jill Larkin of Jill’s Sweet Memories, who also made the wedding cake. Hair stylist was Lisa Glover and make-up artist was Monica Aday. Photographer was Sommer Hamilton of Saving Grace Photography and videographer was Briana Dolan.

For their honeymoon, the couple spent six days at the Melia Braco Village Resort in Trelawny, Jamaica. They are now residing in Rogersville.
