Laura Ann Waddell and Nathaniel Bryant Pruitt were married June 2, 2018 in a beautiful outdoor sunset ceremony at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail at the Shoals. Officiating was the groom’s father, Pastor Stan Pruitt, who performed a sweet tribute to the couple to begin their life together. For the ceremony, the bride’s grandfather, Tommy Hunt, made a cross for the couple to weave the ropes around to represent the joining of their lives with Christ as the center of their relationship. Greer Pruitt, brother of the groom, provided the music for the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Ms. Kimberly Ann Waddell and the granddaugh- ter of Tommy and Mary Ann Hunt, all of Florence. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Stan Pruitt of Killen, and the grandson of Doris Putnam of Florence. The bride’s brother, John Tucker Waddell, walked her down the staircase to meet Bryant at the aisle.

Maids of honor were Mary Rachel Waddell and Sarah Beth Waddell, both sisters of the bride. Bridesmaids were Joy McLaughlin, Olivia Privett Grimes, Jessica Robinson Everett, Hannah Goldsby, Sara Darwin, and Natalie Rayburn. Flower girls were Claire Caperton and Olivia Caperton.

Best man was the groom’s brother, Greer Pruitt. Groomsmen were Matthew Caperton, Dallas Mitchell, Caleb Waddell, Carter Irons, Joshua Bogus, Zeth Olive, and John Tucker Waddell. Junior groomsman was Samuel Camp and ring bearer was Matthew Camp.

Floral designer was Pam Word. Photographer was Rebekah Handley of Rebekah Photography.

The bride’s grandmother, Mary Ann Hunt, hosted the bridesmaids brunch at her home on Shoal Creek on the morning of the wedding. They all had fun with the southern tradition of the Cake Pull!

Both the ceremony and the reception were held overlooking the Tennessee River. After a sparklers and bells ringing send-off, the couple left the reception in the bride’s grandfather’s 1955 Plymouth Convertible.

They spent their honeymoon at Disney world in Orlando, Fla. and are now residing in Killen. The bride is the kindergarten teacher at Shoals Christian School and the groom is Operations Manager at American Wholesale Book Company.
