Clair Kennedy Whitlock

Clair Kennedy and Wilson Whitlock were married September 4, 2021 at 5:00 in the afternoon at First Baptist Church of Red Bay with Bro. LarryHill officiating.The reception was held at Hurricane Creek Lodge following the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Mickey and Susan Kennedy of Red Bay. She is the granddaughter of David and Barbara Magness of Big Creek, Miss. and the late Billy and Gwen Kennedy of Red Bay.

The groom is the son of Hilard (Buddy) and Mary Ann Whitlock of Tuscumbia. He is the grandson of the late Dr. Hilard and Peggy Whitlock of Tuscumbia, and the late Dexter and Mary Jane Dean of Sheffield.

The bride chose a stunning white strapless satin gown with a detachable train from Promenade.

Maid of honor was Anna Mason Jeffreys, friend of the bride. Bridesmaids were Dr. Ashley Horn Pickering, sister-in-law of the bride; Michaela Aycock Ragen, Mary Katherine Markham Aldridge, Paige Lewey, Jodi Page Nethery, Taylor Matthews, Alyssa Hutcheson McKinley, all friends of the bride.

Best man was the groom’s father, Hilard (Buddy) Whitlock III. Groomsmen were Ben Whitlock, brother of the groom; Tyler Pickering, brother of the bride; Eli Hobbs, Jake Sorrels, Brandon Livingston, Jack Bates, Logan Wright, Colton McCay, all friends of the groom.

Floral designer was Lola’s Gifts and Flowers. Music for the ceremony was provided by pianist Mandy Harper and organist Joyce Johnson. Caterer was Hurrican Creek Lodge, and the wedding cake and groom’s cake were made by Yummies. The Park Band entertained guests at the reception. Hair stylist and make up artist was

Myah Jackson. Other special helper was Dawn Mills. Photographer was Scotty Kennedy.

The couple spent their honeymoon at Sandals Resort in Negril, Jamaica. They are now residing in Red Bay.
