Mary Emily Dreaden and Austin Sockwell were married June 30, 2018 at 6:00 in the evening in front of a flowered arbor overlooking the lake at Robert Trent Jones at the Shoals with Rev. Steve McAllister officiating. The reception was held at RJT following the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Barry and Kristin Dreaden of Muscle Shoals. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gene Kesler and Mrs. Mary Jo Dreaden and the late Mr. D.R. Dreaden.

The groom is the son of Rebecca and Brian Lindsey and Keith and Mary Jo Sockwell. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Nick Wright and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Sockwell, and the great-grandson of Mrs. Elizabeth Pruitt.

The bride was escorted by her father. She wore a white Kenneth Winston A-line ball gown purchased at Cherry Tree Lane that featured embroidered Venice lace on the bodice and down the skirt and train, along with a chapel length veil trimmed with pearls.

Maid of honor was Raegan McInnish, best friend of the bride. Bridesmaids were Anna Katherine Dreaden and Ella Dreaden, cousins of the bride; Starkey-Morgan Butler, sister of the groom; Emily Walker, Rachel Hunter, and Madison Nash, all friends of the bride.

Best man was the groom’s father, Keith Sockwell. Groomsmen were Braden Sockwell, brother of the groom; Hunter Dreaden, brother of the bride; Dusin Kelly, Landon Tatum, Bill Collignon, and Hunter Cook, all friends of the groom.

The bride’s maternal grandparents had a beautiful kneeling bench made with an “S” monogram and crosses on the cushion. This was a replica of the one they had made for the bride’s parents for their wedding.

A table was set at the wedding with a new bible (gift) and pens and highlighters Guests were asked to highlight their favorite verse and sign their name by it.

Wedding director was Lauren Boston. Floral designer was Carmalita Coan. Robert Trent Jones of the Shoals catered the reception and Yummies Bakery made the wedding cake and groom’s cake. Providing music for the ceremony was David and Natalie Askew, guitarist and soloist, and entertaining guests at the reception was Sammy Mayfield of JAGS Premier DJ. Hair stylists were Laren LIndholm and Ashley Cassle and make-up artist was Laren Lindholm. Photographer and videographer was Blush Imagery.

The bride and groom left the reception in the bride’s paternal grandfather’s vintage truck. They spent their honeymoon at Sandals Resort in Nassau, Bahamas and are now residing in Chattanooga, Tenn.
